The Truth: About Headaches

There are many different things that can cause headaches, to list a few: Abrupt changes in your diet or an everyday schedule like getting too much or too little sleep, stress, long working hours, or skipping a meal, a hangover from drinking, from watching TV in a dark room or from using the computer for a long time without taking breaks.

But having said that what most people don’t realize is that most often a common headache is a symptom of DEHYDRATION.

Dehydration is the loss of water and electrolytes, such as sodium, chloride and potassium, which are necessary for the body to function and be healthy. The main cause of dehydration is not drinking enough water to maintain healthy levels.

Headaches aren’t unhealthy by themselves, headaches are a sign that tell us that something is wrong, however our body does not always give straight and clear signals that tell us how to behave. When our body is dehydrating, we don’t always feel thirsty, and most often headaches is your body telling you to hydrate.

Next to air, water is the element most necessary for survival.  A normal adult is 60 to 70 percent water.  We can go without food for almost two months, but without water only a few days.  This alone should make you realize how important it is. Yet most people have no idea how much water they should drink.  In fact, many live in a dehydrated state.

It is important to keep sipping on water through the day, depending on your lifestyle you made need to increase or decrease water intake, however a minimum of 8 glasses a day is recommended for normal adults. specially if you have a headache, try and consciously drink water till the pain subsides.

Avoid the  Saridons and Advils,  Try  Water, it works like a magic potion..
